About Us

Corporate Social Responsibility at Lucy Electric

At Lucy Electric, CSR is an integral part of our business. Working hand in hand with our local communities around the world, we aim to make a real and lasting difference where it matters most. Our approach is built around three core pillars — People, Planet, and Progress — ensuring that everything we do creates meaningful impact for both present and future generations.

A community-led approach

Our CSR programme is shaped by the people closest to the communities we serve. Local teams are empowered to identify real needs and deliver meaningful support — from education and skills development to environmental initiatives and charitable partnerships.

These are not one-off gestures, but long-term relationships built on trust and collaboration. Examples of our work include:

  • Building and supporting schools in India
  • Planting trees and creating green spaces in Thame
  • Supporting orphans in Thailand, Brazil, South Africa, and Malaysia
  • Providing specialist equipment for the blind and disabled in India
  • Running blood donation drives in multiple countries

CSR is embedded in our overall business strategy and guided by the principles of ISO 26000. We track progress across seven key areas of social responsibility and drive year-on-year improvement across all global operations.

Our focus is clear:

– Integrate CSR into how we operate as a business
– Create positive impact in local communities
– Protect and enhance the environment around us

Driving Environmental Progress

Corporate Social Responsibility is a core element of Lucy Groups overall sustainability strategy. Our CSR activities are designed to deliver long-term value across environmental, social, and economic dimensions, and are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By embedding CSR into our strategic sustainability framework, we ensure that our operations and community engagement contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable and resilient future.

Sustainability is central to this work. We’ve invested in solar energy, reduced packaging and landfill waste, developed lower-impact products, and are actively reducing our carbon footprint. These actions support both environmental goals and operational resilience.

How We Deliver

Our programme is led by a central CSR team and delivered by volunteer champions across every Lucy Electric site. Central objectives are set based on identified opportunities and ISO 26000 performance, then adapted locally to achieve the greatest impact.

This structured, locally informed approach ensures we provide targeted support where it’s needed most — delivering genuine value for people, communities, and the planet.

Our CSR policy sets out the principles we follow and programmes we’ve developed, focusing on areas where we have significant impact and influence.
