This month, the LET CSR team had the privilege of carrying out an outreach initiative at the Camillian Social Center in Rayong. The team donated essential items aligned with the centre’s current needs, with a focus on high-demand products such as hygiene supplies and daily necessities. The total value of the contribution amounted to 106,000 THB. Beyond material support, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the centre’s staff and residents—deepening the team’s understanding of their experiences, challenges, and ongoing needs.

The Camillian Social Center, founded in 1995 by Father Giovanni Contarin, was established in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic among marginalised communities in Thailand. Since then, it has evolved into a vital care provider, operating seven major programmes across southeastern Thailand. These include palliative care, childcare, HIV prevention initiatives, support networks for people living with HIV/AIDS, a scholarship programme, a self-sufficient community model, and a dedicated residence for HIV-positive teenagers.

This month, the LET CSR team had the privilege of carrying out an outreach initiative at the Camillian Social Center in Rayong.

One of its flagship initiatives, the “Garden of Eden” rehabilitation project, currently offers housing and holistic support for 50 residents. In a society where HIV/AIDS remains deeply stigmatised, the centre works tirelessly to change perceptions—offering residents not only nutrition, medication, and practical tools but, most importantly, hope and reassurance that a full and meaningful life is still within reach. This is especially crucial for children born with HIV, who often face a lifetime of misunderstanding and social exclusion.

LET is proud to commit long-term support to the Camillian Social Center—an extraordinary local organisation that delivers compassionate care to individuals too often overlooked by society.

A huge thank you to the team in Thailand for this fantastic initiative!
