3 July 2025 β Thame, UK
As part of our ongoing commitment to community and environmental responsibility, a team of Lucy Electric volunteers took part in a wildlife habitat workshop on 2 July 2025, helping to build homes for local hedgehogs in collaboration with 21st Century Thame.
The event, held at The White House on Aston Hill near Chinnor, brought together volunteers from Lucy Electric and other local businesses in a shared effort to support wildlife conservation. The morning was spent constructing hedgehog houses designed to provide safe shelter for these endangered creatures.
Monika Sonar, Central Digital Marketing Manager, said:
βIt was a fantastic experience β hands-on, rewarding, and a great way to give something back to our local environment,β said one participant. βAnd we even got to meet others in the community who share the same passion for wildlife.β
The session was led by an experienced team from 21st Century Thame, who provided guidance and support throughout. Volunteers left not only with a sense of achievement, but also with new skills and a deeper understanding of how small actions can make a real difference to local biodiversity.
Cristiana Padilla, who coordinated the activity, commented:
βThank you so much to everyone who took part β the feedback has been wonderful. Building hedgehog houses might seem simple, but it makes a real difference to our biodiversity efforts.β
