By entering the competition, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
1. Promoter
The competition promoter is Lucy Electric UK Ltd, Howland Road, Thame, Oxfordshire OX9 3UJ, United Kingdom. The contact email for the competition is [ian.stephenson@lucyelectric.com].
2. The Competition
The name of the competition is Wiring Hero. The prize will be awarded for the best installation of the Lucy Electric MSDB 2.0. Eligible participants are invited to submit photographs of their installations through the online portal: certificates are awarded for installations meeting exceptional qualities from attention to detail and flawless cable management to uncompromising safety standards and professional finishing, and the prize will be awarded for the best installation. All details are set out below.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The competition is open to entrants aged 18 years or over that are resident in the UK. Entrants must be qualified installers. All installations must comply with BS 7671 or an equivalent standard.
3.2 You must have the permission of your employer to photograph your MSDB 2.0 installation and to participate in the competition. Employees of the promotor or of any Lucy Group companies, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
3.3 In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
4. How to enter
4.1 The competition will run from 09:00 on 1 July 2026 until 17:00 on 6 December 2026 (Closing Date). Any competition entries received after 17:00 on the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
4.2 To enter the competition, photograph your completed MSDB 2.0 installation and submit the up to 5 photographs by scanning the QR code on the Wiring Hero information postcard and following the instructions in the link. The link will require you to complete the associated entry form here
4.3 Photographs:
4.3.1 Only photographs of installations of the Lucy Electric MSDB 2.0 should be submitted. Photographs of installations of other distribution boards or other electrical installations are not eligible for the competition.
4.3.2 Submitted photographs should show the installation of the wiring in the MSDB 2.0 and should not show any other brands, products or locations or any confidential or commercially sensitive information. Photographs should not include people.
4.3.3 Photographs that have been digitally manipulated or which have been created using generative AI tools will not be accepted.
4.3.4 The competition is free to enter. You may submit multiple entries (for separate installations), and each will be judged on its merits by the judging panel.
5. Certificates and Prize Competition
5.1 Each valid submission will be assessed by a judging panel on the criteria of overall safety, neatness and attention to detail. Participants whose submission is judged to [meet the criteria] will be awarded a digital recognition certificate to showcase their craftsmanship with pride and highlight the quality of work undertaken.
5.2 [Participants that have submitted multiple entries may receive more than one certificate.]
5.3 All submissions that have been awarded a digital recognition certificate during the competition period will be entered into the Wiring Superhero prize competition in December 2026, and the prize will be awarded to the best entry, judged against the assessment criteria. The decision of the judges will be final. The names of the judges are available on request from the address in section 1 above.
6. Winner announcement
6.1 The winner will be notified after 7 December 2026 via the contact details provided in the entry form.
6.2 Lucy Electric UK will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of receipt of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize and Lucy Electric UK reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.
7. The prize
7.1 The prize will be one Lifestyle voucher to the value of £250.
7.2 There is no cash alternative for the prize, and the prize is not negotiable or transferable. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or higher value.
8. Publicity and Personal Information
8.1 Please note that your personal information will be used to administer the competition and for the purposes outlined below. Please see https://www.lucyelectric.com/privacy/ for details of how we use personal information.
8.2 We will publish the [first name and place of work] of the winner and the photograph of the winning installation on [the Lucy Electric website, the Lucy Group intranet [and on our social media channels]].
8.3 If you object to your [first name, place of work] or winning entry being published or made available, please contact the promoter at the address in Section 1. In such circumstances, the promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

9. Ownership and Use of entries
You confirm that all submitted photographs are your original work. You will retain ownership of all intellectual property rights, including copyright, in your photographs. You agree that the promoter may make your entry available on its website and in any other media, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant the promoter a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry for such purposes.
10. General
10.1 Only entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions will be accepted: incomplete or non-compliant entries will be rejected.
10.2 The Promoter’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
10.3 While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit or exclude the promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the competition or which are caused by a third party.
10.4 The promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.5 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
