Bilbao, Spain, November 2025: Lucy Electric was proud to exhibit for the first time at Enlit Europe, one of the energy sector’s leading international events, held this year in Bilbao, Spain. Bringing together more than 15,000 professionals and more than 700 exhibitors, Enlit Europe provides a vital platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across the global energy community.
Introducing Aegis EcoTec to the European Market
At this year’s event, we were excited to introduce Aegis EcoTec to the European market. With the EU’s ban on SF₆ in new medium-voltage equipment coming into force in January 2026, Aegis EcoTec offers a forward-looking, sustainable alternative. This important innovation reinforces Lucy Electric’s commitment to supporting the transition to cleaner, greener networks, without compromising reliability or performance.

Our Digital Solutions portfolio also attracted strong interest, as we demonstrated how data-driven technologies and real-time insights are enabling operators to build smarter, more resilient networks. From monitoring and automation to predictive maintenance, our solutions help customers accelerate their journey toward digitalisation.
Sharing Expertise on the Future of the Grid
In addition to our presence on-stand, Lucy Electric experts contributed to key discussions shaping the future of Europe’s energy landscape.
Hina Sharma, Product Manager – Gridkey and Data Systems, delivered a highly successful session: From Reactive to Proactive Fault Management: Deep Learning Applied to LV Networks, offering a detailed look at how AI and digitalisation are transforming low-voltage fault management. She explained how GridKey sensors, installed at LV substations, continuously capture real-time data on load, voltage, and phase behaviour, enabling early identification of network stress before it escalates. Hina introduced Synaps, Lucy Electric’s AI-driven digital twin, which analyses waveform signatures to detect and classify emerging ‘pre-fault’ events that may not trigger protective devices. This capability allows operators to locate potential faults with high levels of accuracy and take the necessary preventative action, helping reduce unplanned outages and strengthening overall network resilience.

Elsewhere, Phil Dingle, Director of Future Networks, joined the panel Grids: Security, Resiliency and Adaptation, where he discussed the increasingly pivotal role electricity networks play in supporting modern life. As society continues to electrify at pace, he noted that no economy can thrive without a robust and reliable energy infrastructure. Phil highlighted the need for grid resilience strategies that reflect the demands of an electrically driven society and emphasised the importance of high-quality data in delivering deeper network insight. He stressed that utilities must foster a culture of proactive maintenance to ensure security and continuity of supply.

Looking Ahead
Exhibiting at Enlit Europe 2025 marked a significant milestone for Lucy Electric, we’re proud to have showcased the cutting-edge technologies and expertise driving our contribution to the energy transition and connect with partners, customers, and fellow innovators from across the energy sector.
